Broken River Picnic/Day Use Area
Visit Broken River in Eungella National Park for one of the best spots in Australia to see a platypus in its natural environment. The platypus is most active during dusk and dawn or cloudy and overcast days, from the viewing platform or under the traffic bridge.
Eungella National Park, Queensland, features over 20 km of self guided rainforest walking trails. Bush walks vary from short circuit trails, to half day and full day walks.
For the adventurous hiker Eungella National Park is the starting point for the self guided 56 km Mackay Highlands Great Walk.
